Rock Phosphate |

Rock Phosphate can be added to soils which are lacking the proper pH levels to grow the healthiest plants. Due to the interaction of alkaline soil particles, phosphate, even if present in your soil, can be largely unavailable to your plants; the best results are achieved when putting about a teaspoon of rock phosphate into your planting hole when transplanting seedlings and just planting right on top of it. You can also do the same when planting seeds, spreading that teaspoon out across the planting furrow or dividing into the smaller planting holes. A bag of rock phosphate will last forever! On the other hand, if you have nicely neutral or slightly acidic soil (lucky you!), you do not need to add rock phosphate. We recommend testing your soil to determine its current nutrient health prior to adding fertilizers or supplements. We have a full range of soil testers, guaranteed to help you have the most beautiful flower gardens, the most productive vegetable gardens and the healthiest landscape, while providing only what is necessary for the optimal soil health. |
