Mesa Bright Bicolor Gaillardia Flower Seeds

SKU: SFS-GA-MESBB-ER
Our ‘Mesa Bright Bicolor’ Gaillardia Flower Seed is related to Mesa Yellow, an award winning, perennial Blanket Flower from 2010 and the very first Blanket Flower hybrid produced from seed. Its uniform growth habit and masses of bicolored flowers, as well as its well-branched plants and blossoms that never seem to fade have made Mesa extremely popular. Mesa Bright Bicolor will bloom the first year, the width of its brilliant orange inner halo depending upon climatic and growing conditions. You just never know what to expect with Mesa, unless, of course, it is unsurpassed performance! Approximately 25 seeds per each hand-filled packet. More details...

Mesa Bright Bicolor Gaillardia Flower Seeds

Gaillardia Flower Seed can be sown indoors for planting outdoors later or can be sown directly into the garden. In warmer climates, planting perennial seeds in the fall will usually result in blooming the first spring, as will starting them indoors and then transplanting outside once all danger of frost is past. Annual seeds will bloom the first year, regardless. You can broadcast the seeds over a wide area and rake them in lightly, or sow them in rows and barely cover them. Light aids the germination process, which will normally occur at temperatures between 70 and 80°F in approximately 20 days.
