Product Details

Execu-Turf Turf® Grass Seed, Tuff Turf Mix, has been developed to provide stunning color, soft texture and unsurpassed hardiness when your lawn is subjected to rigorous use.

With Execu-Turf you should expect less weed competition, a deeper, darker, greener lawn year-round, greater vigor, less disease, more drought tolerance and most importantly, more time to relax on your lawn, instead of working on it.

Tuff Turf Mix Formulation:
34% Inferno Turf-Type Tall Fescue
33% Rhambler Turf-Type Tall Fescue
33% Cochise IV Turf-Type Tall Fescue

Planting:
Apply grass seed when the danger of frost is over or in early fall. Avoid high summer heat.
Use your hands or one of our grass seed spreaders to broadcast the grass seed.
Use a low spreader setting. You should see approximately 2-3 seeds per square inch.
After sowing, lightly rake the seed into the soil. Grass seed should be covered by no more than 1/4" of soil. Planting the seed too deep is a common reason for poor results.

Watering:
Keep the newly seeded lawn moist for the first two to three and a half weeks, depending upon the turf mix.
Don’t overwater—about 15 minutes with an average sprinkler once or twice each day should do.
Watering the turf seed in the early morning or the evening works best.
Use a fine spray so as not to disturb the seedbed.

Maintaining:
During the first month, keep as much traffic off the seedbed as possible. The tender, emerging shoots of grass will not withstand much wear and tear.
Once the grass has grown up to 3 or 4 inches (about 4-6 weeks) you can begin mowing it.
Wait at least 6 weeks before applying any form of weed control.
Reseed any areas that are thin, rake in lightly and follow the watering plan above.
