The 'Butterfly Blue' Scabiosa Plant has 2-inch showy flowers that feature an outer ring of frilly, lavender-blue petals with a paler domed center cushion covered with stamens that look similar to pins in a Pincushion, the source of its most appropriate nickname. Flowers bloom singly on rigid stems above grayish-green basal foliage. This Pincushion variety was awarded the Perennial Plant of the Year for 2000 by the Perennial Plant Association. More details...
