Balsam Flower Seeds

Balsam Flower Seeds produce a most popular annual, sometimes also called Lady’s Slippers or Touch-Me-Nots. Appearing somehow exotic, these dwarfish, old-fashioned plants have wonderfully glossy leaves upon which oodles of long-blooming, brightly colored, gardenia-like blossoms grow.

Balsam, pronounced BALL-sum, is a member of the Impatiens family and is native to Asia, South Africa and North America, with both annual and perennial varieties being represented. Balsam is an exceptional bedding, edging or border plant and is often grown in containers or deck boxes. For the best performance while in bloom we recommend regular feeding with Jungle Flora or Espoma Flower-tone®, both of which are organically rich and formulated for blooming plants.

Each order of our fresh Balsam seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality.

Topknot Mix Balsam Flower Seeds

Price $3.55

Our ‘Topknot Mix’ Balsam Flower Seeds produce glossy foliage with finely serrated, pointed, elliptical leaves on which stunning, fully double, 2-inch, gardenia-like blossoms abide. Dating back to the 16th century, Lady Slippers, as Balsam is also called, have been a part of America’s gardens. The Topknot mix is a combination of rose, scarlet, violet and white. Also called Touch-Me-Nots, we can only imagine they were called this because that is exactly what you want to do-touch them! Approximately 25 seeds per each hand-filled packet.
