Aubrietia Flower Seeds

Aubrietia Flower Seeds produce a variegated form of Arabis, also known as Rock Cress and often spelled as one word: Rockcress. It is also called False Variegated Aubrietia, though that fact escapes understanding, and is a tender evergreen perennial.

Aubrieta, pronounced ah-BREE-sha, has a low, slightly rambling, growth habit and has variegated foliage atop which vividly colored, poised, 4-petalled blossoms rest. Known for its amazing tolerance to both drought and salt, you will often find Aubrietia growing by the coast. Trimming your rockcress as the first blooming fades will ensure a second blooming and a denser, thicker, more well-mounded plant. For the best performance while blooming we recommend regular feeding with Jungle Flora or Espoma Flower-tone®, both of which are organically rich and formulated for blooming plants.

Each order of our fresh Aubrietia seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality.

Grandiflora Mix Aubrietia Flower Seeds

Our ‘Grandiflora Mix’ Aubrietia Flower Seeds produce a plant with all the same attributes as the Arabis or Rockcress, but with striking variegated foliage, sagey-green with creamy white margins. A short-lived perennial evergreen, digging the plants up and dividing them every two or three years will keep them alive and thriving that much longer. The Grandiflora mix is a mixture of lavender, lilac and rose-colored blossoms and is commonly used in rock gardens or in soil that doesn’t support other plants well. If it’s gritty, sandy, rocky or salty-Rockcress will love it! Approximately 50 seeds per each hand-filled packet.
