Sonata Carmine Cosmos Flower Seeds

SKU: SFS-COS-SONC-ER
Our ‘Sonata Carmine’ Cosmos Flower Seed is a low-growing cosmos bearing 3-inch blossoms atop ferny foliage. Due to its diminutive size, in comparison to most of this genus, Sonata is becoming very popular for container and color bowl plantings, though its use in rock gardens and flower beds is just as impressive! The color is that of the clearest Sangria or freshest fruit punch. Approximately 50 seeds per each hand-filled packet. More details...

Sonata Carmine Cosmos Flower Seeds

Cosmos flowers germinate easily and are widely adaptable to many soil types, making them an ideal flower for beginners or children, though even the experts grow them for their cutting gardens. As you sow the seeds, cover them lightly with soil, watering gently, yet thoroughly. With soil temps consistently at 72°F, Cosmos will germinate in a short 7 to 10 days. You can also start them indoors if you'd like to get a jump start on the season. This is a good project for the kiddos to take on during Spring Break, especially if Mother Nature is keeping them indoors.
