The 'Silver King' Sempervivum Plant produces symmetrical rosettes of sage-green leaves, tinged with silver, and under colder conditions, becoming generously splashed with shades of rosy-pink, a beautiful contrast to frost and snow that may be present. As plants mature, the older rosettes will send up strong, upright stems with bristling, scaly leaves that are crowned with clusters of small, star-shaped, pink blossoms. After flowering, the older rosettes will die off, nature’s way of making room for the new chicks to grow into mature hens.
