Setcreasea Plants produce brightly colored foliage and are most often used as accents in hanging baskets or containers and as either an annual or perennial ground cover, depending upon the zone.

Setcreasea, pronounced set-kree-AYE-see-uh, is considered a trailing, half hardy perennial, though it is normally grown as an annual in all but the warmest zones. It is a carefree plant, rather enjoying coarse soil and preferring to dry out completely before being watered. The flowers, when produced, usually have three petals and are purple or white, but it is the striking purple, and sometimes green, foliage that is its claim to fame.
