Katahdin Potato

The Katahdin potato is a low-starch variety that is incredibly moist when baked, has a thin skin and a waxy texture that melts in your mouth. A well-known "Maine" potato, Katahdin was once the North American standard among growers for white table stock. A consistent performer, it is also widely adaptable to various growing conditions. First introduced in the 1930s, this potato is the one that put Maine on the map for potato growing and set the standard for tasty heirlooms. Drought resistant, the yields are consistently high, yielding large, white–fleshed potatoes with buff-colored smooth skin.Katahdin Seed Potatoes for Sale
