Crazy Daisy Leucanthemum Flower Seeds

SKU: SFS-LEU-CD-ER
Our ‘Crazy Daisy’ Leucanthemum Flower Seed produces blossoms that have been compared to snowflakes, no two of them being exactly alike! Producing a plethora of semi- and fully-double blossoms, they will always be white with a yellow eye and they will measure about 2-inches across; but there the similarity will end. Some will be quilled, some will be fluffy and some will be fringed; on some the eye will be hugely pronounced and on some not so much. Some blossoms will look like they are having a bad hair day, while some will look carefully and meticulously coifed. Crazy describes everything about these wonderfully gorgeous and always surprising Shasta Daisies. Approximately 100 seeds per each hand-filled packet. More details...

Crazy Daisy Leucanthemum Flower Seeds

Leucanthemum seed requires light for germination so should not be covered; rather just lightly press them into the soil and keep consistently moist until germination takes place. Leucanthemum generally will not germinate with soil temperatures above 65°F, so sow seeds early in the spring or late in the fall. Cooler nighttime temperatures, down to 50°F, will yield the very best results. These hybrids will not readily self-sow, but will spread through underground rhizomes, though not aggressively so. Plants can be divided in order to keep them in check, if “in-check” is what you want, and dividing every 2 to 4 years will keep them vigorous and healthy for years to come.
