Buddy Rose Gomphrena Flower Seeds

SKU: SFS-GOM-BUDR-ER
Our ‘Buddy Rose’ Gomphrena Flower Seed yields a dwarf-type Globe Amaranth, as does the entire Buddy Series, though Buddy Rose has the appearance of being the “softest” and daintiest. Don’t let that dainty appearance fool you—Buddy Rose is just as tough as its siblings, performing remarkably well in the heat and tolerating droughty conditions with style! Often appearing two-tone, with pastel pink at the top giving way to a darker pink around the bottom, you can look forward to that same pleasing color when Buddy Rose is dried. Approximately 50 seeds per each hand-filled packet. More details...

Buddy Rose Gomphrena Flower Seeds

Gomphrena flower seeds is one of the easiest to sow, germinating well both indoors and outdoors. Darkness is required for germination, so scatter the tiny seeds once all danger of frost has passed and then cover the seeds with a light layer of soil or vermiculite, no more than 1/4-inch. Water thoroughly but gently, keeping the bed consistently moist until the seedlings appear strong and healthy, thinning as needed. Germination normally takes place in 14 to 21 days at temperatures from 70 to 75°F. Once established, Gomphrena is drought tolerant and non-aggressive, even if you allow it to re-sow year after year.
