Buddleia Flower Seeds

Buddleia Flower Seeds are sometimes misspelled as ‘Buddleya’ or as ‘Buddleija’, which is a correct form, but is the same species of bush that is more widely known as the Butterfly Bush, for the most obvious reasons. This fragrant bush may also be called Summer Lilac, bearing flower clusters very similar to lilac, but blooming later and longer. Butterflies and hummingbirds will be frequent visitors!

Buddleia, pronounced BUD-lee-ah, is one of the most popularly grown ornamental, flowering shrubs. With some varieties growing up to 10-feet tall, most will reach 5-feet tall, while some are short enough to be used as naturalizing ground cover. Regardless the height, Butterfly Bush will be covered in delightfully fragrant, colorful, flower panicles all season long, is widely adaptable to soil and moisture, but prefers full sun. All flowering plants benefit greatly from regular feeding, especially during the blooming season. We recommend Jungle Flora or Espoma Flower-tone®, both of which are organically rich and specially formulated for blooming plants.
