Black Dragon Coleus Flower Seeds

SKU: SFS-CO-BLA-ER
Our ‘Black Dragon’ Coleus Flower Seed produces a vividly colored coleus well-deserving of its name. As the name suggests, the leaves are dark, purplish black, decorated with a brilliantly colored center that may very well resemble a dragon’s tongue. The leaves are also quite representative of a dragon’s scales, being scalloped and corrugated for dragon-like texture. More shade loving than many, Black Dragon shows its colors best when the amount of sunshine it receives is limited. Approximately 50 seeds per each hand-filled packet. More details...

Black Dragon Coleus Flower Seeds

Coleus seeds require light for germination; therefore press firmly into the soil with a finger or the flat of your hand, but do not cover. Water thoroughly, but gently, so as not to wash away the seeds. If starting indoors for transplant to containers or beds, start them at least 10-weeks prior to the last expected frost date, though you can basically start them at any time. That 10-week time-frame will guarantee a healthy root system before putting them out. We suggest using one of our table-top or windowsill mini-greenhouses to ensure germination and to prevent undue trauma during transplanting.
