Bellis Flower Seeds |

|
Our Bellis Flower Seeds are also commonly known as the Common Daisy, Lawn Daisy or English Daisy, only to differentiate it from the many other types of daisies available. This particular species is European to its roots, being native to western, central and northern Europe, but is widely naturalized here in the U.S. A biennial, technically it is considered a perennial and is hardy down to 10°F. Bellis, pronounced BELL-iss, is a short, slowly creeping flowering plant that spreads through rhizomes and has attractive, glossy, rounded foliage. That, along with the wonderfully showy single, double and even triple blossoms, its perennial nature and long blooming season makes it a favorite to use for borders or edges, or to fill in between other taller plants. Preferring full sun, Bellis will also tolerate partial shade and is not too picky about its habitat, making it an exceptional flowering ground cover or naturalizing plant. We recommend Jungle Flora or Espoma Flower-tone®, both of which are organically rich and specially formulated for blooming plants. Each order of our fresh Bellis seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality. |
